Peter is the grandson, son, and brother of the Graham Family. Seemingly an average moody teenager on the surface, he is in truth severely emotionally withdrawn and detached from his extremely dysfunctional family, and highly traumatised. Unknowingly, Peter is the product of the secrets of his family which have run deeply and had an insidious effect on them long before he was ever born.

A cult led by Peter's grandmother has been dedicated to summoning the ancient goetic demon king Paimon, in order to grant them the wealth and knowledge he is known to supply to his summoners. Peter is the next designated vessel for Paimon, following his grandmother's unsuccessful attempts to place him in male hosts belonging to her bloodline over the years.

When Peter's little sister Charlie was born, she was used as a "placeholder" until Peter could be made vulnerable enough and ready. After years of dark ceremonial magic and emotional distress to prep Peter, insidious nudges to manipulate the Grahams towards their fates, and their own family discord tearing them apart from the inside out, Peter's "inheritance" of Paimon was finally successful.
