[ By now, Peter's barely Peter most days. His memories are all strange and skewed, and it takes him a moment too long to remember the context of this. But when he does, it hits him that Brianna's actually calling to let him know how she is. He's... touched by that, and relieved to hear that she's not on her own anymore. ]

Hey— that's good, really good. I'm glad. Thanks, uh, for letting me know.

[ He's awkward and pleased and hopes she really is doing okay. ]

Are you still tiny?

What? No way. I'm normal sized.

[ Which, because it's Brianna, is still kind of tiny. But at least not fairy tiny. ]

So still tiny then. [ Yeah, he can't help that quip. Though he only halfway means it as a tease, given... yeah, she's pretty tiny. That's just facts.

But this is a relief, too. No more danger of Brianna getting squashed... or her wings torn and unable to fly around and get anywhere..... or getting trapped somewhere so small that nobody would be able to see her if she needed help — look, Peter's List O' Worries was running pretty high. ]

....Do you like it? Where you're living now, I mean.

I'm growing.

[ She'll probably never be tall, but at least she doesn't look totally malnourished anymore. ]

Yeah, it's been good. Mike's cool, he's like my best friend here.

Mike? [ It's not exactly an uncommon name, but Deerington only has so many residents. It's a small world here; he thinks he might know who she's talking about. He's only talked to Mike a few times but he likes him; he's a cool kid. ]

Mike Wheeler? Is Will still living there, too?

[ Gotta check up on his Young Teens. God, he's been so out of it. ]

Yeah, Mike Wheeler. And yeah, Will lives there too.

[ She can barely restrain herself from adding THEY'RE BOYFRIENDS but manages at the last second. They'd both definitely kill her. ]

Some other people too, but I don't know them.

That's cool. They're, uh, they're really good guys.

[ Peter.... kind of knows about it, anyway. Sort of. Will's dropped a few little hints as to the nature of his connection with the other boy. Peter's not going to come right out and ask, but... when you love someone, it shows. He's glad Brianna's with them; they can all keep each other safe. ]

Sounds like you've got a houseful... [ He pauses, then after a moment: ]

But hey, if you ever need to crash somewhere again for some reason, you can always come here, too. I dunno if you know Henry, but she's cool. She wouldn't mind.

[ It's always good to know you have places you can go, if you need to. ]

I know her. You guys live together? What, are you guys dating or something?

[ Brianna sounds a little bit skeptical. She's not sure why. ]

Oh— no— [ Peter practically chokes that out. The word "dating" still gets to him, okay. He's a baby with girls. "Dating" is a scary word. ]

I just uh.. woke up in the house she was living in. And she... let me stay.

[ Which still kind of baffles him sometimes, to be honest. Henry had ample reason to kick his spooky ass out. ]

[ Brianna laughs, not meanly, but a little bit enjoying Peter's discomfort. What? It's funny when someone practically grown gets embarrassed and awkward about something stupid. It makes her feel better about her own crap. ]
