Well, there you go. Eventually they might expect you to stop auditing classes and learn something. Or pick 1 major and stick with it. At least if we were in the same grade we'd be in some of the same classes.
[Maybe that's part of the appeal. Maybe she'd rather heckle him than admit a future out from the umbrella of The Usual Teen Stuff she's so far lived under, any future, scares her a bit.
And not just because a future here is so uncertain, as proven by his missing friend--and others she'll be finding out about before too long.]

[ Henry is a safety net for him at school. The natural tendency is to want to cling onto that, but he's painfully aware that the burden that is his existence on others (not to sound Emo on Main) is only getting worse. If Henry wants to pursue Other Things, he doesn't want to be the demon possessed boy holding her back. ]
I'm pretty worried about her, to be honest. Her world sounded... kind of even worse than this one. [ Another thing he hasn't Talked About to anyone yet. ]
School sucked. If my dad wouldn't have had a cow about it, I probably would have dropped out too

[ While hardly wealthy, yeah, his family did live pretty comfortably. And he's.... aware that he's really being given some pieces of information here, regarding Henry's own home life. It's a subject that both of them know how to skirt around very well. ]

[ He... does like the sound of that. There's still a little flicker of guilt in him that whispers holding her back, but his guilt monster also looks for any reason alive to flare up. It's maybe weird to think about the future at all, but it's... a lot less daunting thinking about facing it with others. A concept that still manages to boggle his mind. ]
