✨ GRANT OPTIONS

SECRETS & KNOWLEDGE

• Assistance / guidance with magic & magic practice ; teaching / knowledge on arts (including such things as music, painting, etc.), sciences, & philosophies ; other "secret things" which include: knowledge of the Earth's elements / alchemy, hidden truths, knowledge of the past and future

• I'm aware this is a vast spectrum, and it will be handled on a case-by-case basis, depending on what someone is looking for (oocly, we can definitely discuss how much or how little you might like him to be able to detect about your character's world / past / future / etc. I should also note that in regards to his Knowledge of Secret Things, etc., Paimon will not touch on / reveal any knowledge or secrets unless specifically asked to.)

• This can be simple snippets of information (a piece of someone's past or future, a certain insight on a specific type of knowledge you're seeking, etc.) or longer term work, aka you study with him on some particular knowledge, and he will function as your Teacher for an ongoing amount of time.

• This grant will not include any secret knowledge about Trench, its lore, the Pthumerians, etc. All of that is beyond Paimon's scope of inherent knowledge — though he is currently studying more about the arcane knowledges of Trench, so if you want to study with/under him on that, it could certainly be a thing.

• Thanks to Peter's Darkblood / reality manipulation, this grant can extend to Paimon granting knowledge-based items, such as books, maps, tools, etc.

TREASURES

• Riches as requested by his summoner, though his specialty / associated metal is gold. As such, golden coins are what Paimon will pretty much exclusively be granting in Trench when it comes to "riches" (which may have no true monetary value here in Trench, but can still be used for trading and bartering purposes as "nice shiny items", so in that way Paimon can still make it rain...)

• Other types of metals / gemstones / etc. may be requested, but will currently take a lot more effort and may fail unless Paimon has an especially strong connection with the requester.

• General golden grants do not have to be in the form of coins, however. Solid golden items of any kind can be requested (for decorative or trading purposes), but the bigger the item, the more wear the process will have on Peter.

ARMOUR & WEAPONS

• Armour and weapons of various types may be requested. However, he can not grant items exclusive to someone else's homeworld or lore (this includes weapons and armour that are a part of Trench's universe).

• From Paimon, these will always be gold or heavily gilded with gold.

FAMILIARS

• Low-ranking supernatural entities often in the form of an animal, meant to serve and assist witches / magicians / magic-practitioners / etc. AKA anyone who has any kind of magical capability or is simply learning magic could be granted a Familiar by Paimon, to assist them with it.

• Paimon's Familiars are said to be especially worthy, as they can also teach the Arts (occult knowledge, magic practice, alchemy, etc.) and function as little teachers of his guidance and knowledge, as well.

REANIMATING THE DEAD / SPIRIT SUMMONING

• The dead can be reanimated in order to do the bidding of whomever is requesting this grant from Paimon. The dead could be people, or animals.

• Bodiless spirits can also be summoned, temporarily possessing items or people nearby (...or Peter) in order for the grantee to be able to communicate with them.

• Of course, playable characters from people's homeworlds could not be reached in this way (Paimon could try, but The Veil / Trench's particular magic and composition will be impossible for him to work past).

MENTAL GUIDANCE

Psychological manipulation in the form of:

• clearing doubts

• lending emotional insight

• emotional support and clarity through the pursuit of the arts (such as music, artwork, etc.)

• peaceful vision-inducement

• casting hallucinations / illusions

• dream manipulation (clearing nightmares, casting pleasant dreams, etc.)

• These things could help with Corruption management / reduction.

MENTAL TERROR

Psychological manipulation in the form of:

• giving doubts

• horrific vision-inducement

• casting hallucinations / illusions (could be random terrors, specific phobias, memory manipulation, etc.)

• nightmare manipulation

• These things could help with Corruption increase.

*** This grant can be used against someone that the grantee is specifically targeting. Naturally, ooc permission would need to be given all the way around!

DEALS

• Miscellaneous deals beyond the range of the specific rewards that King Paimon can grant. May include things such as "I do this for you, you do this for me" type deals.

• May have limitations or special conditions. Paimon may not accept a proposed deal. Will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

• Deals are binding and can not be broken without severe consequence. Paimon will not divulge what that consequence will be.

✨ CONNECTION & ENN

Connection and Intention are essential elements for working with an ancient entity of Paimon's caliber. Those he has a Bond to (as in an established demon-witch Bond / Pact) will have access to the most powerful requests. Those who have magic at all / are magically-inclined are more apt to be able to establish a strong connection with him, or to request stronger things (such as certain types of Magical Knowledge / Secrets, or Familiars). But anyone in Trench may establish connection, via giving him offerings, attention, frequently having access to his Sigil, and simply maintaining a relationship with him.

(Note: taking part in exchanges with Paimon or even making deals with him will not mean that you're Bound to this entity! While it will definitely open up a certain Connection with a goetic being and deals he makes with people are considered binding, only those who have intentionally sought out A Bond with him will have one. TL;DR there's no danger of you being forced to be bound to long-term / work with / "serve" him; that would be an intentional thing sought out from him, and so far only one person in-game has.)

People may also voice his ENN as a means of strengthening connection and invoking Paimon's spirit. An enn is a phrase in an unknown language of invitation, admiration, or a request for protection that can be asked of a particular demon. Enns are said (and can even be whispered), chanted (the phrase repeated multiple times), or intoned / "vibrated" (the phrase slowed down and drawn out, taking long, intentional breaths). Intoning is the strongest ways to utilise an enn, "and when done correctly, the caster's entire body will vibrate along with the enn, essentially inviting the presence of the Demon within and without. This produces the greatest amount of energy that may be utilised." Examples of these techniques may be found HERE.

Paimon's enn is "Linan tasa jedan Paimon" and may be used in specific rites & rituals, when requesting grants, when doing Magical Business, or simply any time throughout the day when a person wishes to feel his energy and connect with him. It may also be used to call upon him for protection and support.

Those Paimon is especially close to may be privy to the demon king teaching them his enn; however, anyone is free to obtain that information (perhaps they're of a witchy type and already know of such things, or it could be discovered via some simple research.)

✨ GRANTS PROCESS

Those seeking a particular wish, grant, or request of Paimon may essentially locate / call upon him anywhere and anytime. However, formality works best with something like King Paimon (not only for his preference, but to better secure successful grants from him), and he has set up a particular location in which to meet with "summoners" / clients and fulfill their wishes. In one of the backrooms at RITUAL GIG, Paimon can be met with via appointment (you can make one with Peter....)

When someone is meeting with Paimon, Peter will serve as the "medium" through which the demon king will interact with people. Usually, Paimon would be summoned from Hell, but since he is bound in a human body, he has to be officially and properly summoned up from that. It will involve summoning Paimon forth by presenting your offering / doing some other ritualistic necessities, and then making known your request from there, with Peter helping to guide you through...

A note: witches / those who may already have strong connection with Paimon may be able to "summon" him without Peter's help. Witches he has a Bond / Pact with (currently this being only Luna Lovegood) will not need to go through a formal process of summoning him each time in order to ask him for things, as they work together on a daily basis and have a consistently strong tether. For most people, the process will have to play out with Peter's help. Grants can be discussed / handwaved, or we can play it out; I'd love to do anything you like!

✨ OFFERINGS

Below are some examples of the types of offerings that are most suitable for King Paimon. Other items could be used, but there isn't a guarantee that he'd accept them (which I would be just as fine playing around with, if you like.)

— any kind of crafting / arts material whatsoever
— random little items that he can use for repurposing into his dolls (feel free to use any of the various materials in these as inspiration, such as... a fork, a thimble, a pinecone, a leaf... etc.)
— dirt in jars (NICE dirt please.. if it's watery or smelly or gross he will NOT accept it)
— anything with glitter on it
— anything shiny
— camel / camel-themed items (especially if it's a dromedary, bc that's what he rides on)
— small dead animals or insects. Killing them yourself is not required, and things like bones are also very fine
— chocolate (it absolutely must not have nuts in it)
— information / knowledge: particularly about himself or witches / magicians / magic-users or magic of any type / the arcane / etc.
— readings... as in, if you read him something from a book. Story Time
— anything that draws attention to him... such as a drawing of him or a song about him
— playing music for him (he likes... loud, discordant things....)
— handmade gifts for him
— flowers
— anything gold (his associated metal) or yellow (his associated colour)
— ocean-related items
— strong-scented / very aromatic items (favourite scents are frankincense, rosemary, jasmine, and sandalwood)
— sacrificial items (aka something personally meaningful to you that you are giving up or something literally sacrificed. This can be things like your own hair, blood, or other such items that are a part of you. It can also be something personally given up with the intention of sacrifice, such as a beloved item of yours, something that has a strong connection with you. However, please be warned: items of a sacrificial nature are much more Intense and Powerful, and will have Lasting Consequences with this entity rather than being a one-time transaction type thing. For this reason, I would prefer to discuss giving items of this nature beforehand!)
