Note: These are the demon's abilities based on the foundation that Peter's canon laid out, and then what is depicted in the actual grimoires that the goetic entity Paimon comes from. I've been touching on these themes in the year he's been here, but they've been very unstable and vague, or disappeared after certain events allowed them to come through. Letting him get them back permanently could be really interesting, especially with the shifts and layers peeling in game. I put nerf/warp ideas, but am open to changing anything as needed!

His abilities are:

■ has knowledge of and teaches: all arts and sciences, philosophies, and "secret things" which include: knowledge of the Earth's elements, hidden truths, and knowledge of the past and future. (nerf/warp: Paimon will not have this vast amount of knowledge, as it gives him too much power / has the potential to be world-breaking or fourth-wally. However, he will instinctively feel the need to study and learn as much as possible, and to then extend that knowledge to others and help teach them things.)

■ reveal hidden treasures, whether physical (riches or other sought-after items) or emotional (Paimon is said to lend emotional insight and support, and be particularly sensitive to his summoners' energies). (nerf/warp: As with the above, Paimon will not have the knowledge or insight to be able to reveal anything hidden to others. However, he will have that need to provide people with what they may ask of him, granting "wishes" in the limited ways he's able to....)

■ flight. Hereditary-verse Paimon's flight ability is depicted as him floating and swimming through the air....and being able to cling to ceilings..... (nerf/warp: Flying is unpredictable and may not always work more than him being able to float a little bit, or without him meaning to. Also will physically drain his energy the longer he does it, and he may just... drop out of the air.)

■ remain indefinitely underwater, and has command over fish. (nerf/warp: He can stay underwater for several hours, but not indefinitely. He also can't actually command any Deerington fish to his will, though they seem to be attentive to him.)

■ giving people visions (in canon, this was generally..... terrifying things), clearing doubts, or causing doubts. Basically, psychological manipulation. (nerf/warp: This will be handled on a case-by-case basis, but either way will be limited and exclude anything in threat of being world-breaking or fourth-wally without permission.)

■ summoning spirits to appear and cause mischief / do his bidding, and reanimating the dead. (nerf/warp: This will be limited to only one or two at a time and be unstable. There will also be a window of time in which they can stay active.)

■ making objects and armour appear, as commanded by his summoner / magician. (nerf/warp: He may be able to make small items appear if someone tells him to, but they often won't be exactly what was requested, or be warped-looking....)

■ granting familiars who can teach his works. (nerf/warp: He will see most wildlife or other creatures as "familiars" or "potential familiars"... but he can't do anything about controlling them or appointing them as such, since that could involve manipulating the dreamscape.)
