The canon point I am testing for Peter is after he jumped from a second story window and lost consciousness, just after Paimon's spirit was able to permanently enter his weakened body, but before the cult was able to complete their ritual.
This means that Paimon is inside of him and along for the ride in Deerington, but hasn't taken over his mind. This will potentially allow me to keep the "possession" theme that is so integral to Peter's character -- he can suffer from effects of having the demon within him as he did canonically. However, Paimon himself won't be his own workable character or anything like that. It's more the essence of his influence, which is how it was in canon. The warping factor can also account for this, making Paimon too weak to really be a solid existence.
Depending on mod approval if I apply this character, I plan to explore more of Paimon through certain events (some may bring out his influence more or he may temporarily be able to fully possess Peter, etc.) In general, however, Peter is just an unknowing host who will be dealing with the side effects of being possessed (all the lovely convulsions, dissociation, and whatnot. And there may be some clucking here or there. You're welcome).
